Business magazine Forbes estimates Kylie Jenner's worth at around $800, over double that of her sister Kim Kardashian West
12 Julio 2018 12:55
The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner brood, Kylie Jenner, is worth $900m (£680m) at just 20 years of age and is headed for billionaire status, according to business magazine, Forbes.
Jenner appeared on the cover of the magazine, which claimed the social media and reality star is on track to become the youngest ever 'self-made' billionaire.
Jenner, who recently gave birth to a baby girl named Stormi this year, starting selling her own cosmetics, focused around products for lips three years ago, and was so successful that a product sells roughly every five seconds.
Her arguably more famous sister, Kim Kardashian West, has a lower net worth of $350m. By the time Jenner turns 21 in August, she may well be a billionaire.
‘What her half-sister Kim Kardashian West did for booty, Jenner has done for full lips,’ Forbes wrote.

She is number 27 on Forbes' list of richest ‘self-made’ women in America, ahead of Barbra Streisand ($400m), Beyonce Knowles ($335m) and Taylor Swift ($320m). However, the term self-made is very misleading given her privileged upbringing.
The BBC points out that Jenner is set to become a billionaire earlier than Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, who achieved that status at age 23.
‘wow. i can't believe I'm posting my very own @forbes cover,’ she wrote to her 110m Instagram followers on Wednesday. "thank you for this article and the recognition. I'm so blessed to do what i love everyday. i couldn't have dreamt this up!"
But the online celebsphere was awash with criticism for Forbes’ championing of the reality star as self-made. Her family were incredibly wealthy, famous and powerful before she founded her cosmetics company.
Dictionary.com also tweeted a definition that appeared directed at the Forbes piece, that ‘self-made means having succeeded in life unaided’.
