Jenner clan grows - The US reality TV star Kylie Jenner confirmed on Sunday that she has given birth to a healthy baby girl. The 20-year-old was rumoured to be expecting a child, but kept it secret for the entire nine months. Jenner apologised on Instagram for keeping her followers and fans in the dark about it. The newborn is Jenner and rapper Travis Scott's first child and they have not decided on a name yet.
Paris attacks trial - Suspected member of the jihadi group that carried out the November 2015 Paris attacks has refused to cooperate in his trial in Belgium on separate terrorism charges. Salah Abdeslam is accused of the attempted murder of police officers after a shootout in Brussels before his arrest in March 2016. Abdeslam fled Paris after the attacks that killed 130 people and injured hundreds more.
Super Bowl Sunday - The Philadelphia Eagles won their first Super Bowl title as they defeated the New England Patriots 41-33 in a tense thriller. Justin Timberlake prompted mixed reactions during his halftime show. He made reference to the infamous 2004 Super Bowl ‘wardrobe malfunction’ while performing with Janet Jackson, where he became immortalised for yanking off part of Jackson’s costume and freeing her bare breast. Timberlake also played a tribute to singer Prince, which was criticised widely for using a hologram-like screen of the Purple Rain hitmaker.
Tragedy - Former Sex and the City actress Kim Cattrall has announced the death of her brother following a public appeal for information on his whereabouts. Christopher Cattrall, 55, had been missing from his home in Alberta, Canada, since Tuesday. Cattrall asked her social media followers for help finding him, but the actress posted on Twitter on Sunday that her brother had passed away. ‘It is with great sadness that myself and my family announce the unexpected passing of our son and brother, Chris Cattrall,’ Cattrall wrote.
Ivory activist stabbed - One of the world's leading investigators into the illegal trade in ivory and rhino horn has been killed in Kenya. Esmond Bradley Martin, 75, was found with a stab wound to his neck at his home in the capital Nairobi on Sunday. The former UN special envoy for rhino conservation was known for his undercover work investigating black-market prices.
