Melania Trump seems to make habit of sending sly-yet-not-so-sly messages to the world. Her inappropriate fashion choices – such as choosing to don a pith helmet in Africa, or that infamous ‘I Really Don't Care, Do U?’ jacket to a detention camp for immigrant children – have led onlookers to think she is trying to tell us something. Either that, or there is a rogue fashion stylist in the White House trying to take down the Trumps from the inside.
Now the netizens of the world are reading into the White House's choice of Christmas decorations. The First Lady has unveiled them in a really, really lame video in which she gazes at (mostly red) stuff and promotes her 'Be Best' merchandise.
First reactions have been 'dystopian nightmare’, ‘There Will Be Blood’, 'The Shining' and ‘The Handmaid's Tale’. According to Trump, red was a 'patriotic' choice. Others feel it to be more symbolic of a blood bath than a strong and stable America.
