Suicide attack in Nigeria - Developing: At least 50 people have been killed in a suicide bomb in the Nigerian town of Mubi, local police reported. A bomber struck inside a mosque packed with worshippers during morning prayers in Adamawa State. Although no terrorist group has claimed responsibility, Islamist militant organisation Boko Haram have stepped up their attacks on large crowds in the north-east region.

Syria conflict - Russian President Vladimir Putin hosted disgraced Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for talks about the future of the Middle Eastern conflict. Putin played host in Russia’s Black Sea resort of Sochi, with the leaders of Iran and Turkey as well, where an agreement was apparently made to focus on switching from military operations to a political solution in war-torn Syria.
Brexit backtrack - UK Prime Minister Theresa May and her cabinet is prepared to increase its financial offer to the EU to break the deadlock over Brexit negotiations. The figure, rumoured to be around $40bn, is contingent however on the final deal, including a potential trade agreement.
Nuclear cloud - Russia’s meteorological service has confirmed ‘extremely high’ concentrations of the radioactive isotope ruthenium-106 were found in various parts of the country in late September, confirming European reports about the contamination caused by a nuclear cloud last month.
‘Move, bus!’ - One unfortunate TV producer was left enraged after his perfect view of a controlled explosion of a historic building was spectacularly impeded by a large bus. On Monday, the Georgia Dome, an 80-000 capacity stadium that once hosted the Atlanta Olympics, was demolished, and The Weather Channel thought they would set up a livestream. As the bus pulled up in direct view of the camera, a man can be heard shouting: ‘Get out of the way bus! What the fuck ... Hurry up.’

Fall of a TV hero - Revered US broadcaster Charlie Rose has been dropped or suspended by a number of television networks after multiple women accused him of sexual harassment and misconduct. Eight women came forward to accuse the veteran TV host of inappropriate behaviour and unwanted sexual advances, a Washington Post report revealed.
Bromance lives on - Barack Obama sent his BFF and former right-hand man Joe Biden birthday wishes like no other. The pair’s ‘bromance’ has been immortalised in a series of memes that captivated the internet. So, to mark Biden’s special day, Obama used one of the comical memes to say a big happy birthday. P!nk shade - Forever frenemies P!nk and Christina Aguilera may have reignited their feud. Photos emerged on social media of P!nk appearing to grimace during Aguilera’s musical tribute to the late Whitney Houston at the American Music Awards. However, P!nk fired back at the claims, tweeting: ‘Christina f***ing killed it tonight for one of our favorite singers ever. This about Whitney, and I am in awe of Christina's talent.
