Stephanie Clifford, who goes by the name of Stormy Daniels, alleges the pair had sex in a Nevada hotel room in 2006
Allegations of an affair between President Donald Trump and an adult film star Stephanie Clifford, who goes by the pseudonym Stormy Daniels, recently resurfaced after a Wall Street Journal article reported that she was paid an alleged $130,000 to stay silent.
While Stormy fiercely denied that anything happened in a letter released by Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen on 10 January, In Touch’s first-person interview with the adult entertainer, conducted in 2011, details her affair with the reality star-turned-president.
The encounter between Clifford and Trump allegedly took place in July 2006 at a Nevada golf tournament. In the In Touch magazine article, published for the first time on Wednesday, Clifford confirms the pair did have sex.
The story was corroborated by her friend Randy Spears and supported by her ex-husband Mike Moz to the magazine. Clifford also allegedly took and passed a polygraph test at the time of the interview.
‘[Trump] was introduced to everybody. He kept looking at me and then we ended up riding to another hole on the same golf cart together,’ Clifford recalled to the publication, adding that the business mogul later came to the gift lounge her adult-film company, Wicked Pictures, and asked for her number.
‘Then he asked me if I wanted to have dinner that night. And I was like, “Yeah, of course!”’ she said. Clifford reportedly arrived at Trump’s hotel room, where she claims he was sprawled on the couch watching TV, wearing pajamas. ‘We ended up having dinner in the room.’
At one point, Clifford told In Touch that she excused herself to go to the bathroom. ‘When I came out, he was sitting on the bed and he was like, “Come here.” And I was like, “Ugh, here we go.” And we started kissing.’
Clifford said she recalled thinking during the encounter that ‘I hope he doesn't think I'm a hooker.’ It was ‘nothing crazy,’ she said, ‘It was one position, what you would expect someone his age to do. [The sex] was textbook generic,’ she added.
After allegedly having sex, Clifford said, ‘We hung out for a little while and he just kept saying, “I’m gonna call you, I’m gonna call you. I have to see you again. You’re amazing. We have to get you on The Apprentice.”’
The encounter is claimed to have happened just months after Trump's wife, Melania, gave birth to Barron Trump, the president's youngest son. Clifford said Trump evaded questions about his wife. ‘He goes, “Oh, don't worry about her,"’ Clifford said.
